With the rapid development of circuit board manufacturing technology, the integration of electronic components is getting higher and higher, and the circuit is becoming more and more complex. Traditional contact diagnosis requires a lot of time and energy after failure, so the non-contact fault detection method is becoming more and more important.

 

Infrared thermal imager uses optical imaging lens and infrared detector to receive infrared radiation energy of the measured target, and convert infrared radiation energy into standard video signal, and display infrared thermal image through video screen. The thermal image is corresponding to the thermal distribution field on the surface of the object. It is the thermal image distribution of infrared radiation of each part of the object under test. Infrared thermal imager can accurately identify and analyze the fault area of heating. Therefore, the characteristics of non-contact accurate temperature measurement and real-time temperature distribution of infrared thermal camera make it the best tool for nondestructive flaw detection of circuit boards.

Common circuit board faults are generally divided into short circuit, open circuit or poor contact. In the short circuit, the circuit board current is larger than normal, the circuit element temperature rises, and the infrared thermal image is obviously abnormal compared with normal; When the circuit is broken or in bad contact, the current passing through the element is almost zero. At this time, the temperature is lower than normal, and the infrared thermal image is obviously abnormal compared with normal conditions. Therefore, according to the above principle can be very simple to determine the fault of the circuit board.
