1. Power Station Industry Status Quo

The power station has a wide range of equipment, and the maintenance of the operating state of equipment is particularly important. The traditional way of manual inspection is to grasp the running state of the equipment by the operator's remote inspection. Human consciousness, administrative means, operational experience and on-the-spot demonstration constitute the four major elements of current power equipment inspection management. Based on the above four basic elements, according to their own characteristics, power enterprises have established and implemented a series of rules and regulations, such as equipment inspection, operation analysis, equipment defect management, etc., to a great extent, to ensure the safety of power enterprises in production, but at the same time, it has exposed many problems that are difficult to overcome:

1) High working intensity: There are about 400 equipment that need temperature monitoring in the hydropower station. If it is measured manually, two inspectors cannot completely detect it once a day, and it is almost impossible to achieve regular detection.

2) Operational problems: The complexity of management work, the integrity and effectiveness of personnel assessment, the arbitrariness and standardization of specific operations, etc., have directly or indirectly caused high operating costs.

3) Measurement scale: Operation experience is a technical ability to ensure the safe operation of power equipment. Different people use different equipment to measure the working status of the same equipment in different periods of time.

2. Infrared Thermal Imaging Technology

Infrared imaging technology, as a new technology, has incomparable superiority in power equipment operation state detection. Infrared imaging is based on the thermal state distribution of the equipment to diagnose the operating state of the equipment. It has the capability of imaging the thermal state of the equipment without stopping operation, without contact, far distance, fast and intuitively. Since the thermal image of the equipment is the real description of the thermal state and temperature distribution of the equipment under the operation state, and whether the thermal distribution of the power equipment under the operation state is normal or not is an important feature to judge whether the equipment is in good condition. Therefore, infrared imaging technology can be used to diagnose the equipment status and hidden defects by analyzing the thermal image of the equipment.
